Part-time Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing all program activities at New Outlook. He or she will work in close collaboration with New Outlook's Coordinator of Community Relations and Prevention Coordinator. He or she is directly responsible to New Outlook's Executive Director, who provides all supervision and training.

This is a part-time position, 24-28 hours per week. This includes fixed core hours (12:00-6:00 pm, Monday through Wednesday) and additional flex hours to be determined.

This is an hourly position and does not include benefits.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and data entry and management

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

  • Design and implement all activities during after-school drop-in hours
  • Actively recruit and retain new participants for New Outlook's after-school and Summer Adventures programs
  • Work effectively and successfully with fellow staff members and volunteers
  • Assist with additional tasks as needed and when available (fundraising, administration, building maintenance)

Drop-in Program:

  • Oversee and ensure successful implementation of all aspects of programming that occurs during drop-in times
  • Oversee and manage all staff serving as supervisors of drop-in program
  • Oversee maintenance and cleaning of program space (including backyard)
  • Manage all program tracking forms and ensure compliance by all activity leaders
  • Create monthly calendar and ensure distribution
  • Maintain and ensure all logistical arrangements needed for successful off-site trips (i.e. off-site binder, medical kits, cameras, gas in vehicles)
  • Manage all new participant registrations
  • Liaise with parents as appropriate
  • Manage sign-in/sign out sheets and ensure compliance
  • Manage Celebrity of the Month Program
  • Maintain and update New Outlook rules (related to on-site and off-sites spaces and activities)
  • Maintain equipment and supplies for drop-in program

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain accurate records and information for grant reporting
  • Attend all staff meetings
  • Write and submit monthly board report
  • Maintain accurate records of all debit and petty cash expenditures
  • Complete daily site chores as needed
