Qualifications & skills:
Local and Eastern States Candidates who possess the following skills and attributes are encouraged to apply for this position.
- Candidate has completed either an engineering diploma at Tafe (preferred) or a diploma in building or drafting, which means he/she possess a general understanding of building/construction activities.
- Good user of Excel, Word & Outlook
- Preferably a good user of MS Project
- Preferably a good user of AutoCAD or any drafting or modeling software’s
- Good Analytical skills
- Fluent in English
- Good communicator at all levels
- Good Time Management Skills
- Good writing Skills
Responsibilities:
- Best representation for employer during and outside work hours
- Assist the Project Manager in completing certain tasks
- Coordinate efforts and activities between Project Manager, shop detailers, clients, engineers, riggers, suppliers …. Etc, as required by Project Manager
- Understand and manage scope of work
- Do take off (estimation) and price variation claims
- Issue and follow up:
o RFI (Request for Information)
o RFQ (Request for Quotations)
o RFF (Request for Fabrication)
o PO (Purchase Orders) with PM permission only.
General requirements:
- No criminal records (Police clearance)
- Gained experience of 1+ year in building industry
- Can easily read and understand structural and architectural drawings
- Reports to Project Manger
- Own transport
